Scott - Not for sale, I was asked to make them for use at the fall banquet.

Professor - come to the banquet and I will personally have one for you.

Not a water transfer, but similar. I tried the water transfer and found it too thick for a good smooth logo. I used a clear matte film polyester liner and printed the logo on a laser printer. It is adhesive backed and sticks quite well.

Sorry for the quality of the closeup photo. It looses detail when reducing it for use on the site.

I am not sure what the exact use will be. Being a unique plug they may end up for either purpose.
Maybe I will take a shot at PI Surfcasters next...

Don,

Those are sweet!

I like your decal technique. Can you help a fellow MBBA member out and send me the image file?

Another trick I've seen the freshwater plugmakers use is to print a pattern with an inkjet printer onto tissue paper (rice paper or silkspan, like for model airplanes) held down on a thicker backing sheet. The stuff becomes very pliable when wet with your clear coat and totally transparent except for the printed image, and the result can be applied over primer or paint using your clear coat to adhere it. You can make very realistic fish images in color on the computer using simple image editing software, scale them to size, then "decal" them onto your lure. Easier than foil, but I've even seen the two combined for some really amazing results.
