maybe so far I've caught them in 50'+, but lately its been hot and heavy in the 18-35 feet range. just about every rock pile or wreck I've motored out to has been productive especially in the last 6 days or so.

Only went as far south as Mattapoisett. Managed plenty of shorts but no keepers. Caught a completely black scup. Aholes in sailboats everywhere. It was the douchebag ragata.

You have won the internet sir! Awesome.

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

Was anchored on the bow bells outside of the DB capital of the NE, Marion. Just me and another boat on a small rock pile. Seemed like every single sail boat made it a point to brush us. One #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& went between us and all I could think about was the end of Caddy Shack. Glad I had my oldest with me. Kept me out of trouble. I gave him the finger and the International sigh for "Blow me"#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&". He just grinned. I was tempted to launch my half gallon of cams his way.

Definitely a bit early. Ran all the way to Wilks. Fished it from top to bottom. Couldn't get through the short scupp and seabass. As soon as it the bottom, we were on. Down to 50', same thing. Fished great ledge, bents, etc. All same result. Frigging albise everywhere but they were so fixated on the peanuts and wouldn't touch anything else.

Sunday in friends boat out of Seconet in rough conditions, we went straight across to the lee shore, which was still no picnic. We went thru a gallon of crabs, but you needed to anchor dangerously close to the ledges to get into the action, they were tight to the structure. We managed 5 keepers, three sea bass and a trigger fish that was delicious. I think this warm weather will keep the bite shallow until the water cools.

I got a 17.5” last week from shore along with a dozen shorts till I ran out of Asian crabs. If the tide didn’t come in I would have had all th bait I needed. Went back a few days later with green crabs and got 1 short.
