Getting Speakers Repaired?

Anyone know of a GOOD place for speaker repairs?

I've got a pair of towers, one side sounded funky like it was blown and discovered by accident it may be a loose connection.

Checked all my connections back to the receiver - good - swapped speakers to make sure it wasn't the amp that had a problem, then turned them over to make sure the wires weren't crossing and causing it to short -

Voila! Upside down the $#*&## speaker worked...

Can only figure it's a loose connection inside that was completed when upside down.

Used to take all my stuff to Public Sound in Prov - they were excellent - but have tried to call, the answering machine msg. said they were in the process of moving and then the number was disconnected...

Anybody got any ideas?

Or do folks just throw stuff out anymore - I dunno, figured one of you audiophiles might have a suggestion...I'd hate to pitch these speakers.

Take it apart yourself and save the money. Speakers arent really complicated, just 2 wires.

Try Trader's Cove on lower Broadway. I've had some work done by him and he's been good

Just take them a part and re-solder/re-terminate the wires if they are loose. If its a blown speaker....time for a new pair

Thanks, men - I'll give him a try this week and let you know how I make out - it's a helluva lot easier than traipsing all over the state.

Although I still wish I knew if Public Sound is gonna reopen again somewhere else - those guys were excellent -
