After all the rain, now it's the weeds....

All the rain we had gotten had flooded most rivers for over a week last month. Thet gave the weeds more fuel for growth with all the particulate matter being washed around, and they grew. Man did they grow! Now that the water levels are dropping back down, the weeds are matting the surfaces of most waterways unlike anything I've ever seen! When individual weed stalks are 4-5' long in 2-3' of water, they grow sideways forming a mat that is next to impossible to fish through.

I now find myself having to plan "IF" I want to try to fish, not "where" I want to try to fish.
I will probably make more night time salt trips from shore than fresh water night time bath water trips from the 'yak.

I am a legend in my own mind!
