Got a new condensing vent Forced HW boiler.

Picked up a Crown HW Boiler. Rated at AFUE up to 95.4 % . I think my exact one is rated 91 to 92 percent. I installed my last boiler back in 1988. I hope this new one is just as easy to install. In 88 I had to take out the old Hot Air furnace and install the baseboard HW registers so that part stays , just need to swap boilers. Venting is different on these newer condensing vent boilers. Hopefully its easy to figure out.

Project should have a payback of less than 5 years since I got a good deal on the Boiler itself.

The venting is different, you will be able to use Schedule 40.
Make sure when you do the termination there on the same wall, never use apposing walls.
And check for local codes for end termination to operable windows, doors, distance from ground and the dumb sign you mount on your house.

Was supposed to get it Wed it shipped but tracking shows it still in Illinois.. Now it looks like Monday delivery. I believe it comes with some Schedule 40 and maybe some schedule 80 pipe? Will know more when I get it. Last time I did this the gas company had a local office and they gave you the code requirements and even arranged for an inspection. I think they might not do that any more. They gave me a rash of BS because I installed 3 zones 25 years ago. Said I only needed one zone. Well my guess is over the 25 years it operated that the 3 zone controls I installed paid for that boiler 10 times over!

Anyway , I hope its not too complicated an installation. If it turns out to be more than I can handle I'll put out an SOS!
