Talking Thanks for a great season!!!

Hello All, well the boat is now out of the water and the season is now behind us. When I look back at this past year I saw how great the fishing could be and also how bad it can get in mother natures realm.

We had a semi slow early spring, to fantastic fishing thru June, July and August. With some big Striped Bass this year and a lot of bait, which is why the fishing was so great.
Then in late August we had a 4 day NE blow that was really bad, high winds and rough water which ended up pushing a lot of small bass and the huge amount of bait we had out of here for the season. It totally changed the season at that point. We did have some good fishing after that but not what it was before the big blow. Then when it came to the fall run, we had a lot of bait moving back in and things were shaping up for a banner season. NOT!!!

Well mother nature had other plans again as we ended up with 6-7 weeks of high winds every weekend and when the winds blow to the west in Boston Harbor it blows the fish and bait the wrong way. We struggled to find enough fish to eat all the bait that was still around and week after week we tried to make things happen and get clients out on the water and it just was not to be. The season ended up being one of the most frustrating fall runs of the season that I can remember in the fall as usually that is the best fishing of the season. But thats mother nature and you can not make the fish show up just because you want them too.

We created a lot of new and great memories that we will cherish for years to come and hopefully made some great memories for our clients as well. The pictures do not lie and when we look back at the season we put some great smiles on our clients faces and that is what it is about for Bill & I.

We did manage to get out a few times offshore at the very end of the season to try some cod fishing before we had to pull the boat and we did pretty good with a mixed bag of Cod, Haddock and Cusk. We also saw some big freakin Bluefin tuna popping around but none sticking around enough to try and get hooked up. I will put up a few pictures in the photo section for you to check out of a cod day Pam and I got into.

Bill & I want to thank all of you for making this another successful year on the water for us. Hopefully we will see most of you again next season. All we can do now is dream about how good next year is going to be and wait till the snow passes and brings us into another summer on the water.

I will be posting updates to the site and other info over the offseason if you feel like stopping by to check it out. I hope all of you have a very happy and healthy holiday season.

Best Regards,
Jules
