kayaking in the fog..

Got out before work (which is awesome!) into the fog yesterday, fishing was slow, but managed a couple of fish. Fog would roll in, then roll out, making it a little spooky out there, but really pretty as well.

Took this one as a still from my go-pro, figured I'd share since it's been slow in this forum! Anybody have any kayaking in the fog stories? I usually stay fairly close to shore, so its' never really an issue for me, but I did have my whistle at the ready in case a boat came out of nowhere.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Yes, it was from a video and I froze it and captured it! It's actually not even a go-pro, I just call it that since people understand it. It's a go-pro wannabe called the midland xtc that I picked up at cabelas with a gift card I had, extremely easy to use and very small, takes awesome hd videos.

Well, now I have a compus with me because of the fog.
2 years ago when it was way too foggy to go out, we go out...
We paddle out in between the 2 islands in the channel as usual and we loose sight of the tree tops so we start counting lobster pots on the way. My buddy hits a fish, gets turned around and can't tell N/S/E or W. I kept calling him so he could paddle toward me to find the last lobster pot where I was. That was one of the few times that I hoped a fish would not bite, so I pulled in my line. Strange how quiet it is in the fog.

yeah that would have had me concerned! So true on the quiet, it's kind of eerie even how quiet it is...

To scared to get hit by a boat. I'll go out when it's rough, but not when it is foggy.

seals + plovers =

with your kind of fishing I can see that Mikey! We usually stay pretty close into the rocks so most of the time a boat would hit a rock before it hit me!
