I hate gill nets , small bait nets ok but not the large operation....

There is also some legislation going on in South Carolina but it's for fresh waters as they don't have a salt water population of Stripers.
They do, however, have several lakes where they stocked Stripers and they have thrived. The problem appears to be some illegal black market rod and reel abuse.

No boat, back in the suds.

The stock that NC is taking action on is the Albemarle/Roanock river stock which never leaves the NC backwaters.
