Hobie owners

I highly recommend keeping a small tool kit on board. Last night my front turbo fin mast came loose and I had to paddle back to shore. Had I possessed an Allen wrench to tighten the set screw I would have been able to continue fishing.

How spoiled we are.. The horror of having to paddle is unthinkable the fish were stacked in my honey hole too..

As a side note, I'm catching 5 to 10 times more fish in my hobie than I used to do from shore.

Yup. Ninja fishing. Especially the hobie. Regular yaks with paddles make splashing noises

when I switched to the larger turbo fins I used loctite on the threads. I agree a small tool kit and replacement O rings is a good idea.

with the Hobie drive we undertake longer distance adventures under conditions that paddle kayakers would not do.

Also I purchased a small "air horn" to keep in the yak! $9.00 at local marine store....for emergencies! Ya never know when you may need to warn an oncoming boat or hail a boat for assistance?
