heard these today on the Pod. This guys music always brings a smile to my face. Funny the lead singer and drummer went on to Jefferson Starship after they left Bishops band. You can hear him on backup vocals on struttin my stuff. Very distinct voice.

Scott Henderson, fantastic, very versatile player, blues to jazz to rock.

Larry would even like this

highlights of the Dan show Tuesday in Lenox

and the encore was as it should be

tight horn section with a very good alto (Walt Weiskopf), Herington can play the Skunk parts well but not the Larry solos so well, absolutely fantastic drummer (Keith Carlock), and saidly Walter tried to play way to many solos. Show never really took off until he took a back seat to Harington about 2/3 of the way done. Good show none the less.

Some stuff I've been listening to lately.

New Teenage Bottlerocket

This is a local band with 3 guys I went to HS with. They sound better live, but this isn't too bad.

I recently discovered them and love their music. I'm the johnny come lately where music is involved...they're an ealry 90's band and here it is almost 20 years later and I finally find out...oh well...

find there live stuff where they improvise and jam more. You'll be impressed. The two guitarists absolutely shred and the bassist is one of the best in the biz. Only thing about moe. that I don't like is that they play the same set a lot. Have you heard Captain America? I heard them play Captain America right after 9/11. Insane and very emotional at the same time.

BTW..I've seen them on a few NYE's. Down in Jersey Robert Randolph opened for them one year. It was a blast. Another great show was up at Sugarloaf in the lodge. Great times...you won't be disappointed

I can show you the light as far as the jam band scene goes. Not really my scene anymore though. I'm more of an early nineties alternative rock fan. Jane's Addiction, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Dinosaur Jr. etc

But I still love listening to the Biscuits live. They have awful voices, but their talent is unmatched IMO...
