I hear ya likwid
I was going to use a .308 HPBT 168gr, but they are really hard to epoxy in
But seriously, if you see a file mark on the sides of that "belly weight" its so its no longer considered a , well u know. When the new belly weights are done it will change over, i just could not wait any longer.
One thing I noticed, u gotta use big trebles to stabilize it. Basswood floats real high. but traditionally an A-40 IS a topwater swimmers. Head down with Tail slapping the water. At least this is what I am told. If you want it to go deeper, it can take as much as 5/8+ oz of lead in the belly and still float without any problem at all. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
