Looking Forward

....to better days ahead. I've been cooped up... working alone in my shop for the last two and a half weeks. It's great keeping busy.... but with my boat sitting ten feet away as I work my mind has been drifting..... daydreaming about when I can get back out on the water.

Same here Bob. It’s always a pleasure to see you on the water.

Thanks Chris .....I'm hoping to get a look at that new boat of yours someday soon!

Meanwhile...i've been following a boat building buddy....Salty... from Louisianna on-line....building same hull that I did. I like his bold color choice...and his cool dad is always there helping.

Looking back...

Every boat build needs a dedicated crew.
My good friend Rich and my son Craig.... always there when I needed them. Also my brother Peter dropped in every week for moral support and photographing the progress.

Thats unfortunate....your valuable property and you dont have access to it?

Nice day so I pulled the boat out and dusted all the shop dust off.....fingers crossed.....hoping to see if it will start right up.

Started up on first try......no water coming out of the p-hole....stuck a wire up there and it cleared it.....only issue was steering was very tight. I had previously been applying grease directly on the steering arm. Going forward I will get a grease gun to do it correctly and inject it ...using the two fittings provided.
