Mark Knopfler and Friends
Knopfler is one artist I listen to a lot - been a big fan since Dire Straits first came out -

His collaborations are always great with other musicians - it all started around this time for the most part - Knopfler with EC, Sting and Phil Collins on a classic with one of the most recognizable intro riffs around:

Listening to All the Road Running a lot lately - great pairing with Emmy Lou Harris -

he did some nice stuff with Chet Atkins too.



Always liked Dire Straits. Their first album is their best IMO, with his brother on rhythm guitar. Not a bad tune on there.

I think he is a great guitar player but I never got that into him. BTW - Emmylou Harris is one of the hottest old chicks around.
