Oct 16-17 windstorm

Lots of damage with multiple trees and power lines down all over town. Schools delayed 2 hours. We dodged any real damage here at our place though... Still need to get out and about.

winds cranking pretty good, but no real damage, lost power for a few hours but other than a bunch of pine needles down, not much happened.

I'm sure there will be a few more turtled boats after this... sure am glad mine is on the trailer and covered.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

News reported it to be a bomb cyclone and they reported winds over 90 mph on the cape, I bet there are some boat owners wishing they had pulled out early this year.

Bummer...
Woke up to some serious gusts at midnight (hit 70 in Westerly) and went out in the pouring rain to take my wife's hammock chair down before it flew off the deck...

Split my elm tree down the middle, looks more like a lightening strike but there was none of that. A guy I work with lost his boat to a tree....completely perpendicular....crushed it.

My little 16.5’ battleship sunk at the dock last night. Got to leak test my back up waders and they are dry as a bone. Now to figure out what do do about water in the cylinders. Pump couldn’t keep up with the waves over the transom.

What size motor? Fresh or salt? Doing this yourself?

30 merc 2 stroke fresh water. Got submerged about 1/2 way up the cowling. Plan on doing it myself as of now. Stupid thing is, it hasn’t ran right since July so it basically holds the pool noodles and my fishing rods. Shoulda taken it out of he water back then.

Haven't had time to check the "back 40" but doesn't look bad up around the house.

No boat, back in the suds.
