Yes,,,ditto.....and more of the same! Lake up north we snowmobile can have over a foot everywhere but one spot known to have open water often.

Under water structure, underwater springs, currents, etc play a huge part in ice thickness. I know I sound motherly here but I also know how easy it is to see a truck on the ice in -20 below and feel safe only to see a spot on the other side of a lake that seems sketchy and slushy....

Simplify.......
