I've had one for 18yrs and no issues at all.The only thing replaced are the rubber tires ["o" rings] on the rod supports.I use it to sand cork handles on my deck and that works fine also.I will tape the blank where the roller touches the blank when turning the cork so not to mark the blank due to high speed.
