Craftsman Side Handle for 3/8" Drill

Anyone happen to have one they don't need, can't find any online and I must have lost mine in one of my several moves. I hate to go buy a new drill, this one still runs like a champ since purchased back in the late 70's. Model 315.271410, don't even know what thread size it takes, damn hard to even find a parts model for the handle. Purchased a large forstner bit for make hollowing out some choke cherry logs for bird houses, easier than using a chain saw, but boy without the side handle it's a wrist breaker in this hard wood.

What size thread..
I have a bunch of odd handles here from burned up drills and angle grinders ..pretty easy to make one as well..even if you dont have a lathe...you can drill and thread a 1" birch or polar dowel, whatever size thread you need, that drill probably uses 5/16 - 24. Use a small piece of threaded rod or cut the head off a bolt... epoxy the threaded insert into your new handle

Yeah that’s my next step, nothing I have laying around threads easily, so I might have to run to the hardware store to see what works.

I decided it was time to upgrade to 1/2" corded with a bit more balls, but thanks for the feedback.
