If someone is looking for a project boat - this is one fantastic, great riding hull. Slap on a new / used outdrive or Yank the IO, close off the transom, throw on a bracket and outboard and play offshore with the big boys and girls...

Boat,,, with-OUT trailer..........$150.00 (reduced price)

If you want the package, PM the offer....do your homework on a trailer though, it's a Long-Haul adjustable...fit a 30'-er easily, and it's in top-condition, .... 99% of the water it's seen has been rain.

Does anyone know the guide-lines when making a donation for a taxable write-off?? Of course I'm referring to the boat.

Where/Who do I contact?
Does it have to have a certain value?
Who would determine that value?
Etc..Etc..etc...etc...

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't want to sit on this thing too much longer.

Try going on-line to the URI Foundation website. They take donations and probably have all the info you want.

do not use the helping hands in wrentham- a friend researched them and determined that a minimal % of $$ actually got to the charity.

Regardless of who you donate it to - your write-off will be limited to what the charity ultimately sells it for . . . normally pennies on the dollar. New rules - the IRS wised-up to people inflating the value of donations of this type.

Here is the deal with Helping hands in my town Wrentham
You donate the car/truck/boat ect...
min $ 500 rite off you're gross or the amount they sell it for.
In the past they use to use the blue book value and you could decide if you want to rite off high or low value, but either state of fed changed to the current ruled of $500.00 or what it sells for!
I could care less what % they donate to the charity as long as I get what I need/ want for something I have donated !!!
, but I can tell you that ALL the used car lots HATE the place, free inventory, all profit !!!

LETS GO BRANDON

The boat is on ebay...as of right now, it's still available.

The trailer was bought brand new (by me) 4 years ago. It's only been in the water a half-dozen times. I have the receipts, I only want 1/2 of what I paid for it.

Trailer make: LONG
Model: SA3400G

Bought at Walmslety Marine (Warren).

PM for more specific details

Fishing freak -

In response to your post, As there are many kind and giving people on this site, I would let it go to someone on this site for that amount.
Some members showed interest at first but then nada. Changed their mind I guess....

It's going to cost me $45 to sell it on Ebay, so I incorporated it into the reserve, along with an additional $100.

I'd rather donate it than sell it for $1 or give it away for nothing, I have to keep some integrity even though I'm going to take a beating on it no matter what. So yes, I listed a higher reserve so that maybe I could "get more than a hundred bucks".

I can't stress this enough, this hull for $100 is an INCREDIBLE steal for someone who wants to dump a little more coin in the engine or has marine/mechanic experience. I have come to the conclusion that this boat is too big for my fishing style. Therefore I don't want to waste the time and money only to try and sell it anyway. If someone is looking for a Deep - V hull that rides like a caddy in tough water...this is a sweet deal.
A few people have seen the boat, the dance-floor in the back (great fishing area-lotta space), the high sides in case you have children......ok, I've cried long enough

Thanks for the ebay suggestion F-Freak. Others had suggested it in the past, I just kept putting it off. I think your post triggered me to finally do it....or maybe the tax bill that I received again a week & 1/2 ago.....
