Got an ID, could it be collectable

Posted this in another thread. Just wondering if anyone has any info regarding this rigged plastic eel. The lip says Burke Jig A Do. Interesting rig, got to be thirty or so years old.

Anyhow, to answer your question, exactly, thats what it says on the lip, Burk then Jig A Do. Basically its a rigged eel, that has some formed lead between the head and an upside down spinner blade. Posted the pic yesterday on another thread on this site.
One of those things that a picture would be alot better.

Burke Jig-a-Do Eels were popular in the 70's. They were Burke's ( who was and still manufactures lots of rubber lures) answer to Garcia's marketing of Al Reinfelders Alou-eel which was a result of Rienfelders partnership with his fishing pal Lou Palma in Brooklyn NY.

The current ALL Tackle World Record Bluefish was supposedly taken on a Burke Jig-a-D0 eel by one James Hussey of North Carolina back in 73 I believe.

Hang it up, they haven't made 'em for decades and they aren't worth anything collecting but it is a piece of angling history.

Why even try.........

Interesting, the rig is unique. I knew that blue was caught on a rigged eel, never knew it was this thing.
Thanks flap.
