Making sure you saw this.....

“Americans have the right and advantage of being armed, unlike the people of other countries, whose leaders are afraid to trust them with arms.” – James Madison.

Van stall is an affordable rod for the game. Stellas one of the best. Saragosa will get the job done on most sizes. If it blows up, just send it back to Shimano to rebuild it. Pretty much free for a cpl of years. You should try the RI side for smaller fish to get into the game. You need to be ready to try various techniques any given day, some days trolling is better, some days jigging, some days surface lures.

Picked up a Penn Rampage a bunch of years back. Handled a 150lb Blue Marlin as a dropback rod with a VS250. Never tried it with a tuna though.

Ghost hunter rods are great for light tackle tuna, they are all I use for popping rods. I have the 150’s paired with twin power 14k’s, the 200’s I pair with Stella 18k’s, and 300’s(I like to call the 300, the #^&#^&#^&#^& you rod) I pair with Stella 20k’s The most versatile rod in the ghost hunter line up is the 200. This rod will whip 50 pounders into submission and land 300 pounders without being overmatched. Feel free to pm me with any questions you have.
