we'll see nws is saying 10" possible for Mansfield.
The moisture potential is only around .5-0.6 qpf so 8-10 is nominally expected. NWS is adding a 1-2" fluff factor to that in this mornings discussion.

very slippery stuff this morning. Surprised me but it must have been just the right temp to pack down and get slippery. Supposed to snow like heck between 2 and 5 toniught. I may head home a little early to avoid driving home in the bigger mess at 6 PM.

The triple 360!

Stretch of Rt 3 between 128 and first exit was absolutely treacherous this morning. Lots of accidents within 1/4 mile stretch.
Three full revolutions from the right lane before coming to rest off the left lane pavement....facing the wrong way! Maybe buy a lottery ticket on the way home. Be careful out there!

That fine powder is coming down here in Newton. Fairly steady and sticking. Got about a inch or 2

4 spinouts/accidents between Wareham and Fairhaven on 195 this morning.

The vehilces "in the weeds" in these spinouts all had one thing in common---anyone care to guess what it was?

I'll guess they all had four wheel drive and were going too fast.

Getting buried in Burrillville! but then again I have been all year. It's picked up considerably, and the roads are getting horrible.
Small flakes falling with velocity, visibility near nill.

Only one still had a driver sitting behind the wheel and it was a guy.
