Ok, you got me there, in most states, you have to be a registered member of a party to vote in a primary. It is your choice to remain unaffiliated, which while I admire that, the downside is you are choosing to exclude yourself from the primaries.

I also hate the fact that some states get to primary months before other states. So in early states (Iowa, New Hampshire) all the candidates are still on the ballot. By the time my primary rolls around, my candidate may have dropped out, my choice is more limited. I have never seen the sense or fairness in that. I am guessing that when the CT primary takes place, Ben Carson may well be out o fthe race by then. Doesn't seem fair that someone in NH gets to vote for him, bit not someone in CT.

I do ike the system though, I think it works well on nmost fronts, except for the gullability, laziness, and ignorance of so many voters.
