Chart plotter/sonar combo

I've got a 17' center console and looking at picking up a fish finder with decent mapping. Anyone have any experience with the garmin echomap chirp 44 cv? Thanks in advance

One of my garmins can only be updated via download onto a chip,,,,
Didn't go well,,,
I see where some of their machines have a (usb ?) interface for updates. May be more better!
