Anchor trolley

Got a Yak Attack lever lock trolley, one thing has me concerned: the company just supplies self tapping screws and says it is strong enough to handle the pressure.

Been seeing a lot of people saying and debating about using lock nuts or rivets instead or even goop to keep the strength and prevent any hardware ripping out while keeping a water tight seal.

What would you guys recommend?

I just recently installed the anchor trolley on my outback, I thought it came with lock nuts and backing plates and everything. I did dab a little rtv silicone in the pre-drilled holes just to help with water.

That is the HD version, I have the regular one but there is no way I could access all the drill areas to put those plates in

There are some good videos online with creative ways to get the plates into those hard to find spots

I'm not looking to buy the trolley and upgrade, just trying to figure out how to make this one the strongest. I just keep seeing debates between well nuts and rivets with both sides making points but not too helpful
