Yellow Jackets

Hate those bastards, seems every 2-3 years they want to nest inside the cracks they can find in the house. New nest entry as I'm grilling, wondering why all the yellow jackets, bend down and see they are popping in under the lowest course of shingles. Hoping a good soaking before bed time will kill a bunch and encourage them to GTF out.

Try delta dust it’s a bit pricey but will kill them . Or Diatomaceous Earth. If you know anyone with a pool. If you can blow the dust in or they get it on them apparently it’s microscopically sharp and cuts their exoskeleton and causes them to dehydrate and die.. so i’ve read.

I just used delta dust in a bulb applicator on a nest of carpenter bees in my porch. I hate killing bees but they didn’t respond to my stern warnings. We’ll see how it works after a few more days.

Blasted the opening to the hive with delta dust a few days ago, didn’t do a thing.
