Some recent photos and video you might enjoy
Second only to the fall run, this is a great time of the year to fish the surf. I hope you enjoy this recent footage shot off Black Rock in Narragansett.
Check out the recent multimedia article I posted at my Fish-Eye View Channel at:

Awesome shots fish_eye. I got a chance to go snorkeling off of cutty and was shocked at the amount of life just under the surface.

Great shots. As a kid my favorite shows were anything Jacques Cousteau did about the oceans. Funny how I ended up, not planned by any means, in a somewhat connected business. Curious about the camera and the housing that protects it. I am a machinist in an oceanographic based biz and have built many, although more for larger applications, so I am curious on your tools of the trade.

Nice, do you see more fish when you freedive vs scuba? Earlier this month I've became interested in learning how to freedive and spearfish in the future. Been lurking spearboards and a few other sites. Need to get a mask and fins. Any recommendations?

Professor, Just a guess, do you work for Benthos? They were an account of mine many years ago and a friend has a couple of ROVs.
The housing I have is made in Austria by the leading manufacturer of underwater housings in the world, Subal Subal underwaterhousings for digital cameras - Underwaterphotography with Subal
This is my second housing by them and they are exquisitely designed and built...but VERY pricey. I use it to house a Canon D1-Mark IV with a variety of "L" glass lenses...again, pricey cargo and that's why I opted for the best in housings. I keep trying to raise the bar in terms of the quality of the images I bring to my audience and the next series of "how to" and "where to" videos should demonstrate that commitment.

MotoXcowboy, I always suggest that people start out by borrowing or renting equipment just to see if they are suited for free diving. Some people have issues with sinuses, others with ears, still others don't like the feeling of being underwater and not being able to see very far with normal bay conditions. Go see Gary at Anderson's Ski and Dive in EG and tell him I sent you, he'll hook you up.

I have done lots of work for them over the years but they were sold several years ago. Bought up by a big company and they are still making their stuff. Do work for several companies on Cape. thanks for the explanation, info. Again awesome pics.

The same fish that are in at night - unless they're sleeping.
