siwash up or down

i've got some dannies i'm making......the pinchey i've got has the hook up. most of the pictures ive seen here have them facing down. should i put the hook up or down?

For me it depends on what the plug is going to do. If it's a sinking needle, I'd face up. If it's a top water popper or shallow swimmer, face down.

A while back I was asking around regarding this. I've heard a range of different opinons including: Facing up equals less snags. Facing up will hook into the top part of the mouth which is stronger than the bottom. Some thought hokking in the top could damage the fish. All different people, all different opinons.

My guess would me around how the plug swims or sits in the water, equating what might make a better hook-up.
