I will try to jig up some to live line for stripers.
One of the best free baits around (after squid, macks and pogies)!

We use to catch them in the Fall in Galilee and liveline them of the short wall. KILLER!!!!!

No boat, back in the suds.

they are fun to catch on light gear ,,at times I can,t get pass them in the fall ><><

I think shad are mostly just catch and release now. So no possession for live lining........

just tell the fish warden that you keep trying to take one for a walk on your "makeshift" leash, but the big fish keep eating them....

pretty sure that's american shad, not hicks...last i checked it was 6 fish daily limit for hicks...
