Some new stuff... Troublemaker and Naturals

I made a pregnant surfster in parrot from white cedar this week... need to tie a matching flag and rig her with (2) 3/0s.

I have been using Devco 2 ton to seal and to top coat my plugs since this spring so I opted to make some naturals with this method... a small yellow birch darter, a white cedar eelie, and 2 maple Wadd style needles including a big 8.5 incher...

All look great, especially the naturals!! Seems like you and me are the only ones building during the season. How did the weighting work out on the surfster? Remember, "Go Big or go Home!!"

Lou- I went with a .25oz belly and .75 of a inch of 1/4 tail weight in the stern... swims real nice and the tail is not too crazy... used the Montana fluoro green and one of their bright yellow... artist grade rattle cans..

should I rig with 4x or 6x 3/0s?

Some of us had to work during the season.....

I've gone to cut VMC's only now, 4X! I use a Dremel with the thin abrasive disks and bend them like Gary does. There is a S.J. video on YouTube of how to bend them by Gary.
