i use red and white cedar i get from the lumber yards.
stuff ant cheep a western red is $50 for a 8' 4x4 but its all clean cedar so no waste and after cutting you get 40 to 50 plug blanks .
or for the smaller plugs i will buy a 2x4 and cutt it up.
i cant find ayc any place in nj and dont want to do the mail order thing so thats my 2cents good luck

Smile Got wood!

Stopped by Liberty Cedar this after noon & its true they are out of AYC 2X2 s4s balisters but they have a lot of 2X4 rough. If you have a table saw blanks are a cut or two away. $4.50 a board foot. The balisters are at least two weeks away if the shipper doesnt have something larger to ship. (more $$)
