Here's a few questions for the Kool Aid guys

On the Palin issue over her daughters pregnancy; How many of you actually did everything your parents told you at 17 years of age?

How many did things your parents told you not to do ?

How many thought they "knew more" than their parents ?

People living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Who will cast the first stone?

I think the bigger question is how many of us grew up in a land where the only real things to do is drink, do drugs, and have sex? :P

And lets not forget the generation gap.

Yeah actually your right, and my dad bought me a box of condoms and said "don't get a chick pregnant if you want to actually have a life" instead of preaching that "no sex before marriage" BS.

I think the question when phrased as you did is moot.

The bigger issue is how some on the religious right preach about family values as if they are somehow on a higher playing field...when in reality we're all pretty much the same.

To be honest, the story would be a lot more interesting if she was a lesbian.

But then the left wouldn't be saying anything about it.

No the left doesn't run around preaching no sex before marriage like its a plausible form of birth control.

No, we take in and admire the arts while partaking in beverages of the adult kind.

Most Republicans like most Dems are somewhere in the middle on most issues.I don't think they should teach sex ed in the schools, period. It's a waste of money and the kids will do what we did anyway. It's part of growing up. Don't tell me you people didn't take chances when you were teens. I think for the most part teen pregnacy is down because the kids these days are smarter then we were.

I agree it is moot. It just goes to show that no matter
how much you preach only some will listen. In this case her daughter didn't listen. That to me doesn't mean Sarah Palin can't be a very effective VP.

The DEMS are grasping at straws and trying to make something stick out to voters.

Well if a majority of parents had the balls and pulled their collective heads from their asses to sit down with their kids and TALK to them (jesus why does this come up so often?) maybe things wouldn't be so effed up.

Well she was not an effective Mom...perhaps she was too busy trying to get her brother in law fired from the state police when she should have been parenting

Which "dems" are we talking about here?
Obama? He came out vehemently against talking about Palin's family.
Biden? Hasn't said a word.

Are we supposed to care what anyone else says? If thats how you want it played, I'll happily start quoting everyone's favorite O'Reilly.

It seems more to me that people just listen to whatever the news and media says instead of the candidates themselves. We're not voting for talk show hosts, we're voting for a President.

Do you tell your kids "don't do drugs" while slamming back some blow in your shop?

Let me guess. You wouldn't have fired him.

parenting only goes so far. Once a child reaches 15 or 16 they start to think of themselves as adults and like to make their own decisions. Some of these decisions may not be the best but try convincing a teenager that... Everyone here probably remembers turning that age. nuff said

And on her brother in law he deserves to be fired. He crossed the line on more than 1 occaission.

Amazing how nobody is defending her Abstinence Only stance.

But hey, try convincing a teenager not to have sex, and don't bother giving them protection or birth control. Fantastic idea.

Also I hear the replacement for the brother in law was replaced with someone who had to resign TWO WEEKS LATER because of sexual harassment.

She keeps great company.

She chose and "kept company" with her brother in laws replacement?. Does Olberman know about this?
