Love my snowblower....

We had about 5-6 inches of snow before it started to rain sometime before dawn yesterday. The 1970 Ariens was a champ. Was able to move what was essentially slush at the bottom. Did get a few clogs as the flash freeze took place, but that was only at the last of six properties I cleared with my son yesterday. Everything froze up solid by 11am locally. It had been 36 degrees when we started... Son was happy we got out early, despite his initial grumbling, as he saw it firming up as he shoveled. He was showered and cracking a few beers with his buddies for an afternoon of football. A few bucks in his pocket helped his attitude as well.
Will go through the blower today, as we have more snow coming Tuesday. Need a few lock washers and going to take a look at the oil and belts. Also going to be out with more sand and salt today.
Best thing I did was get a set of folding ramps from Harbor Freight on Friday. On sale for 89.99 from 119. Also had a 20% off coupon that popped up while I was checking them out online. If you need ramps, these are pretty good at 72 bucks!

Just got the same ramps. They work real well, especially after having used 2x6 for years which would bend like pretzels when loading the heavier stuff.
You prolly already know, but spraying the inside of the chute with silicone helps a lot with moving the slush.

Higgie, formally known by the name TurfGuy, is a small engine genius who just did a couple of things to my 8 h.p. Ariens and it runs like a race car now.

Was hoping to get by with a leaf blower since it is so fluffy, but we already have 5-6" now. Going out to get a leg up on it with push shovels shortly. (One of the homes I cover has 24/7 nursing and there is a shift change at 11pm) As long as it stays cold, I will be able to clean up with the blower tomorrow.
