Arrow jim

depending on what your operating system is...
which is important to mention.. first

you need to go into your control panel

and hit system icon then device manager

and look for "sound devices" and see what's

in there.....

What kind of MP3 player is it? Some of them require drivers and some will just show up as new drives.
When you plug it in, do you get any msgs from, I'm assuming, Windows? It should say something like "unknown device found" or "new device connected"...

Thanks to all for their comments. I will try everything mentioned.
The MP3 player is aSana e200.
The message that comes up when I connect the player is I need a faster USB 2 connecter.
Thanks again!
