Very tragic. A friend just called who has a buddy who is a cop in Newtown and said they have a 2nd suspect they caught in the woods dressed in cammo.

Paul, they just announced on the radio that the police are saying it was the father of one of the students acting alone. The guy in the woods was released after they determined he had no involvement.

Yeah, these situations seem to change minute by minute. I just heard the NJ story on the radio, but they didn't give any details.

One thing's for sure, I'm gonna go home and give my son a huge hug tonight and tell him how much I love him.

This is amazingly sad... reports are leaning to an entire class of kindergartens... f**king 5 year olds...

There are no words to capture it... doesn't make sense

My heart goes out to the victims, the survivors, and the community. These poor kids who saw the scene while being evacuated are going to need counseling and support. There was a little boy on earlier who said, "we heard he wanted to kill us all, starting with the music room. I was right near the music room!" It didn't seem right seeing a little kid say those words...

Two things I can't process:

1. The sheer horror these 5 year olds felt before they were executed.
2. The type of evil it takes to carry out an act like this.

I grew up in a neighboring town. It's sobering when you realize that it isn't just a big city problem and can happen in your backyard. Such an incredible tragedy and really makes me wonder what could drive a monster to do something like this.

I sincerely hope there is a hell and this shooter is there to feel the immeasurable sorrow of the parents, the pain and fear he inflicted on the victims while taking rounds every five seconds for eternity. This scumbag cretin of a human being deserves no peace ever.

I had just gotten off a flight in Philly and walked into the USAir Club as the story broke. Everyone was silent and crowded around the tvs. The women we crying and a lot of the guys just had their heads down. I was moved to tears and I am not ashamed to admit it.
I only wish I had been at that school with one of my Glocks. I would have gladly sacrificed my life to take that bastard out.

No boat, back in the suds.

This is definitely a thing that makes your whole being want revenge. I can't imaging the sorrow and fury of the parents of the victims. Your heart , your brain all call for revenge. Of course there is no place to seek revenge. Only sadness here.

The majority of people think guns are the issue with this event and they should be banned, but in my opinion, sensationalized media coverage of events like this are the real problem. Want the whole world to know who you are??? Go on a shooting spree... These events should be covered, but the shooter should be banned from being mentioned.
