For you Skier and Riders

Got back from Washington last week and hit up Stevens Pass. 10' in 10 days and another foot the day I got there!!!!!!!!!!!! Unreal day. Puking snow all day on top the 100 plus inches they got that week. Suffication warning all over the place as well as Tree well warnings. Waist deep in the trees. Face shots all day long. Insane. never seen so much snow. Pictures dont do any justice. First time riding snow that deep. What a blast!

The tree wells had me really nervous. Met up with some cool people i met on the lift and rode some sick tree runs with them. I wasnt going in alone.

Heli or cat skiing is next on my list.

Sick!!!!Only bad part about snow that deep is trying to stand back up after falling where there is no bottom to push off of. How stable was the snowpack?

The snowpack was really good. You were typically about knee deep most of the time with a enough stability to get up if you need to. i was sitting down to take breaks mid run with no issues getting back up excpet for twice in the trees where I had a real hard time. real light a fluffy on top. So much snow down inside my jacket from all the face shots!

Nice. Sr. year in college went to Lake Tahoe for spring break. When I got there, you could see grass. Snowed for 2 weeks straight and when we left, snow was above the top of the first floor windows. We had to spend like 5 extra days there as we couldn't get out. Had an avalanche that killed people and wiped out the Alpine Meadows lodge.

That just looks insane!!

What is the tree well warning all about? If you get under a tree the snow could collapse around you? Damn that would take a lot of snow.. (can you tell I've only skied the east?)

Oh man! You nailed it! Stevens seems to be the place to be the last few years. I keep seeing all these epic powder pics from there. I've been mastering the art of skiing the post thaw deep freeze blue ice this season. At least Vermont brews some good beers to enjoy afterwards! Congrats Bassballer, that looked like an all time trip.

That much snow is absolutely amazing. My best powder day was at Grand Targhee several years ago, but it touch what you experienced.
