PC Anywhere question

I am tired of trying to troubleshooting my parent's computer over the phone and having to drive an hour to fix it. Does anyone use PC Anywhere or something similar to take over someone elses machine? I am looking for suggestions and maybe a cheaper option than PC Anyware, which is $180.

I use logmein, price is right at free, their premium version is cheap too. I use the free version, premium offers file transfers, printing, etc.

Look into VNC.. I think it is the easiest to use and install, etc.

There are many versions, here is the one I use:

http://www.tightvnc.com/
