Whats the newest stuff you listen to?

Okay so we all know that pretty much everyone here, including myself, is a total music junky for the 70's rock older and newer..

So let's skip a few decades.. In your opinion, from the 90's til today, whats the best newest band that you really like?

For me my top 5 have gotta be

- Nickelback
- Three Days Grace
- Breaking Benjamin
- Copper
- Chevelle

I went through my cds and these are the new acts (since 90s) whose stuff gets repeatedly played.
Neil Finn either on his own or with his brother Tim (The Finn Brothers).
Aimee Mann
Fountains of Wayne
Matthew Sweet
Gov't Mule

For jazz:
Richard Bona
Soulive
For Country:
Buddy Miller

Also big plug for Los Lobos, from the 80s I know, but still making great lps and an awesome live band.

Dropkick's
Killswitch Engage
Tree (Sam Black, jr.)
Jetfuel
Sick of It All/Agnostic Front/Gorilla Biscuits (lots of the NY nineties straitedge)
Seemless (Jesse from Killswitch, my buddy Dave on bass, and his brother Frank is managing right now).
I also like Waltham, but they really don't fit in with my narrow musical scope.
Haloburn (old 7th rail crew guys from Waltham)
Later,
Rick
PS- I'm very old and an ornery skinhead punk, so that kind of helps, too!

Listen to Waltham, hell, my girl went to high school with all those guys...they all live like 100 feet from here.
My buddy Dave (Frank's brother) was their original lead guitar...Frank and Dave are on tour right now with Seemless.
Mikey, Dave and Peet were in Jetfuel with Jet and Ben from SBC, too.
See all those guys around all the time.
Later,
Rick

God i am getting old. I have actually gone backwards and started to listen to older stuff as i have not heard much newer stuff which interests me lately, not saying there not out there. Lately the newer stuff consists of Hanna Montana and Hilary Duff , I have a 6 year old daughter, but at least it isn't rap crap noise. But here are a few of the newer bands i have discovered in the last year or two.
Jaco Pastorius Big Band
Cyrus Chestnut
Scott Whitfield Jazz Orchestra East
Jimmy Heath Big Band
Nickle Creek
Flecktones
Smokin Joe Kubek
Rock if they even call it that any more I have not a clue of any newer bands as i am satisfied with the good old stuff.

As I was checking out the latest posts these guys came up on the itunes shuffle so I will give them a mention Belle & Sebastian. The cd is called Dear Catastrophe Waitress. It is indy and quirky but very enjoyable.
