Do you use TD Bank?

Who here uses TD Bank?

I believe they went through a recent acquistion, but their online banking is applying incorrect dates to expenditures and holding up deposits into the account ... which when you run close balanaces, can have a big impact, especially with the huge fees the bank charges.

I don't find their customer service good. Any one agree? What banks do you find have good customer service - since fees, etc. are all pretty much the same?

BOA has good service, as I did my car loan with them and they are always on target, but I believe they have heavy fees as well.

My kids have passbook savings accounts there. It's my understanding that in the past 2 weeks they merged the systems of the northern TD Banknorth (former Bank of New Hampshire, etc.) with the rest of TD Banknorth and are now just TD Bank. Probably having a few glitches.

My wife and I recently decided to switch from Citizens Bank (our accounts were originally with US Trust which they acquired several years ago) to a local north of Boston bank. We narrowed it down to Salem Five and East Boston Savings and ultimately decided to go with Salem Five. So far so good, but what a pain. We both used to work for Eastern Bank many years ago and we remember when banking was kinder and simpler.

You need to Itemize your plug purchases seperate from your porn purchases now to get the system to register them under the right accounts.

Also remember that only wooden plugs go under the plug account......other plugs should fall under either Electrical Expenses or under the Aforementioned Porn Account in the Miscellaneous Column.

Hope this helps

I left Fleet many years ago after they "upgraded" my account without my permission. they hosed me for $50.00 in fees. I use Rockland Trust, they are solvent and very good a customer service. A true local bank. The Big Banks all suck as far as I am concerned. TD Banknorth screwed me on a commercial mortgage, inserting some penalty language, then passing over it a the closing. They are not to be trusted.
