Montana Supreme Court that struck down a tax subsidy for both religious and nonreligious private schools. The Montana court said that the subsidy violated a state constitutional provision barring any state aid to religious schools, whether direct or indirect.

simple question should private or religious school some whom are tax exempt get Public money to fund their Schools

I say No ... it's clear to me Private and Public are not remotely the same

I say No ... it's clear to me Private and Public are not remotely the same

I'm fine with no public money going to private schools.

I'm also a huge advocate for school choice, though. If I choose to send my kids to private school, I feel I should be able to use some of my property tax dollars (which I pay) to do so.

Also in CT, if I send my kids to a private school that happens to be in my city, the city will provide bus transportation. Not sure why that is, but it's always been the case.

My youngest goes to private high school in Dorchester. It’s quite a sacrifice but it is his choice to do so. I would never expect public money for assistance. As a family we support an inner city scholarship fund which raises millions annually to assist underprivileged children to cover the private school expenses. The stories you hear warm the heart.
