Where to buy a hamburger patty maker?

I want to get one of them molds or presses to make patties from ground beef. I see some online but would like to go to a store if possible. I'm in Northern RI but anywhere nearby is OK.

I like preshaped patties (1/3 pound is nice) but they add $1.00 per pound to preshape the patties. I figure having my own will pay for itself fast.

I'll look into bass pro. target has them online but not aat the store.

By the time you drive around looking I may as well mail order it. I just like to see it before I part with the money.

thanks for the input.

What is "billy mays and the big city slider station" ??

Why don't you save yourself the money and use an old (cleaned) soup/tuna can? Since the cans come in different sizes, finding the right one should be easy.

a can would take care of the round but not the thick. One of the reasons I like the formed patties is the uniform thickness. I really like the 1/3 pound burgers but as i said , I'm not paying a dollar perpound more for them. next time I'm buying something I need online which justifies the shipping , I'll order a burger press at the same time. Target does have what appears to be a nice one at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the offer Katie. I have pretty much decided on one from target. It has an adjustable thickness and you can just keep pushing it down over the hamburg till its full without premeasuring the ball of hamburg first.

Now I need to find a way to get free shipping. The device is only $8.

I still find it hard to believe they cahrge $1 per pound to make patties at the supermarkets. It used to be 10 cents more for patties , now its $1 more.
