Maxiell Monster Hack

This play fired me up last night. F'n announcers kept saying how it was a great hustle play and an amazing block. Watch the clip. Garnett is lucky his hand is still attached to his arm. I'll agree with the hustle but it was a hard foul not a great block. I'm also fine with letting "letting them play" but Detroit gets away with too much on the defensive end. Even the Local news was touting this as a great play this morning.

going back to old school detroit style of play - foul every chance you get, they can't call them all.

i gotta say i was disappointed by the way the celts handled it. they acted scared and timid when they got bullied. everyone started looking to pass rather than take a hit, especially in the paint. they've got to be tougher than that, or detroit will bully them out of the playoffs. someone besides posey has to grow a set and step up and lay someone out, ideally Rip Hamilton.

I'm not sure how bad a hack that was, but it should have been called.

What I saw more was Hamilton, this guy is a goon.
Pushes Rondo off on his arse then gets an easy two.
again and again...

I kept watching him and it looked like schoolyard B-ball.
Slapping, hacking, elbowing----GEEZZZ ref call something will ya.

Seemed like they stopped calling near the end of the game so the home team didn't foul out.
I had a feeling it would swing Detroits way at the end.

I hope we slaughter them tomorrow.

I'm now a bandwagon Celts fan. Started following them in mid-70's when their training camp was at Mass MAritime. Loved em when the real big 3 were around, watched games on Channel 4 and listened to Johnny on the radio at the same time.

They lost me in the Employee#8 years, just started watching teh games, rooting for the Celts to win, but I won't be depressed if they lose.

Pistons get away with a lot of grabbing, IMO.

All that being said, the block was ALL BALL.

I'm also surprised at how dirty Hamilton plays - never realized it before. It reminds me of how Reggie Miller and Ron Artest used to play. They did call a ton of fouls on Detroit the other night - we still lost. I think half our points came from the foul line. Hope we play better tonight - other wise I may have to spend the next two weeks bass fishing

if he plays, i hope the celts hack at his elbow and bicept the whole game. %$%$%$%$ playing clean. this if for a trip to the finals, take him out - its what he would do and I would applaud him for it if rolls were reversed. its up to his big men to protect him, and maybe they can sucker rasheed into getting a 7th technical and a one game suspension in the process.

Unhappy Sorry, luds....................

that block was ALL Ball~~~

Maxiell is a BEAST, and far too talented to be riding the pine,
of which i am very grateful; since he murdered us with every minute
they gave him. that rookie of their's, Spence(?), was skeeeeerin' me also.

Thank God we won the East!!
Now its on to the next chapter of this
monumental season. LA should be a breeze..............
