MS Vista and older progams

How's Vista with older programs designed for 2000 and XP? Thinking of buying a new laptop with Vista but I have a decent amount of software designed for 2000 and XP and would like to be able to use it.

Thanks.

wait until at least SP2... good general rule of thumb

I have Vista at work - my home machine will continue to have XP.

Ride the spiral to the end...............

Thanks guys. The wife's laptop is dead after my 3 yr. old dragged it off the table. Looks like we'll be waiting until SP2 comes out.

Hanging in there. I got involved in coaching my son's lacrosse and football teams so that has eaten into a lot of my free time this year. I still come to check things out a few times a week. Hopefully, I'll have some time in the spring to start building some plugs again. The good thing about taking a break is that I have been able to figure a few ways to make jigs to cut my darters. Hopefully, it will speed things up some I can pump them out.
