Buy 'em in Gloucester

at the state fish pier.
50# frozen flats were $26 last year.

I've got an 18' skiff, catching them is too early a job for my liking,
so..... I go to Gloucester and fill a freezer.

If you want to buy them and not go all the way to Gloucester, Sea FReeze in Quonsett has them. Don't know what this years price is.

The herring boats here in Glousta have been catching a 50/50/ mix of mackerel and herring. there is plenty of macks in the harbor and bay. and there are millions of stripers
