Made my first marlin lure

Probably should put this in the plug making forum but they are mostly interested in inshore fish. I made a wood plug, then made a silicon mold and poured the hard plastic. It has a 2 oz egg sinker inside to bring it to 4 oz or so. The skirts were replacement skirts I had on hand. It hasn't seen water yet so how it swims at speed is TBD but I like the looks of it. It resembles an old Murray Bro's lure with a black bart style ass end but has slightly different dimensions and weight. I will experiment more over the winter with different shapes but I hope to test swim this next weekend during the Nantucket Big Game Battle.

I'd bite dat!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Remember seeing a guy in Hawaii that made those custom for people on some sports show. Had to be ten years ago or so. I remember what he said he sold them for. Making your own a good way to go especially when they look as good as that one. Nice job.

Nice. Looks good Jim

We leadered our first blue last trip on the E. wall of W. Atlantis. 140-150lb. Very boring fight after a jump in the beginning.... took a Chewy-Hoo on a tormentor out of the shotgun
