WWII Memorial in DC

First time seeing this wonderful memorial today. We rented bikes and did the entire mall area in 2.5 hrs. The WWII Memorial is the best memorial I have ever see in the US... great job honoring both the Pacific and Atlantic war theatres and all the US States. Here are a few pictures of this very special place on the Washington Mall...

My son just went there with his 8th grade class, he was pretty impressed with this memorial and took quite a few pictures.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

Went to DC a few yrs ago with my wife and 2 daughters, we all loved it. Great walking city with a million different places to go. Loved the WWII, VN, Korean, Fallen Officers and several of the Smithsonian Museums but going to Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is something very special. Big Fan also of the US Grant Civil War statue in front of the Capital Bldg looking out at the Mall. Great city, gotta go again sometime

Everyone should go to DC.....If you don't "Feel It" wen standing in front of the IWO Jima Memorial...you're just not Amaerican

My Favorite Memorial was the Korean War one.....it was just amazing walking between the soldiers.

I also have a soft spot for the Boy Scout memorial there too....
