Createx colors

Hi,
I wanted to try some createx. I picked up some at AC Moore. It is labeled Opaque Airbrush colors. I don't like the dull finish. By opaque I thought they meant that it was not transparent as some of there bottles are labeled. I thought that opaque was the correct one.

I want a glossy finish. I also noticed that they have paint for nails (like nail polish) which I assume is glossy. What do exactly do you guys use?

All help is appreciated.

thanks,
john

I am by no means an expert but assume you are going to epoxy the plug so you will get the gloss from that operation. P.

To add to what the other guys said. Opaque colors are what you use when you want to cover something real well. Transparents work well when you are blending colors or doing scales.

Guess it really depends on the colors of the plug and how you want the scales to look. I really don't do them much anymore. Last ones I did had black as the base with olive over top, or pearl gold base with olive green over top. See no reason that you could not use transparant over transparant if the colors worked together.
