need duplicator cutter

Hi,

Someone at the last plugfest had a cutter for sale. If it's still available let me know. I bought one from Penn State, but what they sent me looks nothing like the picture. It was about 3/4" long and round. I'm looking for the rectangular one.

thanks,
john

duplicator cutter

Hi,
I have a shopsmith that I just use for the lathe. I will use the table saw platform as the base to slide a block that I will put the cutter into.
One of the guys at the plugfest last winter, who is a machinist, brought the one he built. It was out of aluminum stock. I would do the same thing out of wood, but the cutter would need to be rectangular to be held securly in place. This year, the machinist was there, and he had the xtra cutter, but he didn't bring the block he mounts it in. Sorry that I don't remember names.
