Plugfest 2007

Hey all you plug builders and plug builder wannabees, time to start planning again.

What are you thoughts about Feb. 17th for a date?

Same place? and time

Let's have the contest again this year and have 2 catagories and bring a small pool for swimming plugs like justplugit suggested. John thinks the contest should be open to all who pay the 10 bucks to get in and I agree. Everyone is encouraged to make plugs for the contest no matter how practical, pretty, plain, wacky or original because we will have 2 separate catagories this year.

Maybe Steelhead can come again and do some tying or others???

Suggestions?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

I am diggin on the swim thing. It's makes the whole deal more plausible, I like that a plug will have to be more than just a pretty face!

Dang, this is gonna make it really hard. I love it!

Why even try.........

Last year was pretty organized, do you all want it similar to last years? A little looser? Last year was a pretty busy day and an awesome time and turnout.

Charleston - get a few guys from your area that are interested and carpool and split a room up near Middleboro.

Plug Contest - similar as last year?

Categories?

Last year there was some, err, disagreement on plugs submitted as some were certainly less "fishable" than others. Do we request that plugs must be "castable" and "fishable"? Don't get me wrong they were all great but some were less likely than others to, umm, be retreiveable with anything less than a power anchor winch

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

John

2 catagories this year so you could actually enter 2 different plugs if you choose. One a fishable plug, and one a novelty type plug use you imagination. I'll put up a thread when I decide on how we will vote for it.

Excellent idea - fishable and novelty categories...

Prizes will be Twinkies - 1st place 5 boxes of twinkies, 2nd 3 boxes, 3rd 1 box (OK - that was a joke)

Slip ,if we do the pool thing, if someone could bring a small water

pump, i think we could simulate a current in the pool for the swim off.
