He sure was fun to watch when he was playing well... I think he did need to be traded for the greater good... but it still hurts a little to see him play in another uniform...

Don't really have a problem with the move....Youk was awesome, But he and Valentine didn't get along. and the fact it was starting to get pretty painful watching him hitting ground ball after groundball. He has also been a little fragile the past couple of years

I think he was OK with the move too...his playing time was reduced and now he has a chance to be the everyday starter again.

I wish him well...guy played hard every day

we will see how it all works out....i'm sure the next time the Red Sox play the White Sox he'll make us pay

There's been some bright spots on this team....

Cody Ross has been having a solid Season for us. The new kids Middlebrooks and Nava have been awesome to watch, bodes well for the future. Saltalamachia has been having a solid season as well as the starting catcher....lots of clutch hits, something we never seemed to get from Tek.

Starting pitching has been suspect this season....thats where the struggles are.

The problem with their image is that they need to play out of their minds to shake off what happened last season...and that just isn't going to happen. I think they are becoming a likeable team....they just aren't an Elite team right now.

For as bad as they played in April...they are 4 games above .500 right now.....Playoffs are not out of the question this year for this team either with the added Wildcard slot

Yep.....

Right now they are fun to watch just to see the young guys playing....there's hustle and purpose in everything they are doing.

It also bodes well for the Pawsox, since that's where a good deal of the youger talent developed from. (a far cry from the "good old days" when no one even knew what the Pawsox were?)

I think you have to give Theo credit for putting together a good personnel department, most of which have since moved on to other clubs. His goal was to build a strong farm system thru drafting well, then you have depth to trade or develop.

Before Theo we were counting on Izzy Alcantara and Wilton Veras and who else?

I think it was on the SportsHub that I heard this yesterday and it's sums up the situation perfectly...

The Youk of 2012 is not the same guy as from 2010. He's sucked, he's habitually injured and obviously disgruntled. He had to go.
