Welcome,love to hear what's happening downthere.Spent 31/2 yrs courtesy of the Navy 70-74.lived off ship in Cheasepeake Beach and fished along the "bridge" shoreline towards the east.Did pretty well,no monsters but 15-25#s were fairly common.Yorktown was a "sleeper" for topwater spooks.Man does time fly....

My sister & brother-inlaw live in Newport News . & the last couple of seasons they have been trying to catch stripers ;

what a cluster f $%^&*( for me to try & answer their questions @ ten at nite / while they are under a bridge in the James river & I<m 600 miles away ;;

Now I,ll just give them your phone number ;;

Since my neighbor up in Norfolk hasn't chimed in yet I will tell you that the big fish have not really made the move into NC. Most of the larger fish are still running just north of the NC/VA line although there are plenty of fish over 50lbs being caught. There are a few fish here in NC. This may be good news for you folks as the fish have less distance to travel to make it home for April/May...
